The bunk bed is great for the price. The nicest that I have found in this price range (looking locally and online). It is solid, well designed structurally, and has sturdy wood (though a little soft and will ding like pine if you are careless with it).

Contrary to other opinions, I found the assembly easy and I just finished in 1.5 hrs. The instructions were fine and covered all pieces in the kit. The wood wasn't labeled with the letters like shown in the instructions, but it wasn't necessary either because it is very intuitive where everything goes in the assembly and they have good diagrams in the manual if needed. One thing to note is that the long frame pieces are labeled UPPER and LOWER and that matters because one of the upper pieces has metal reinforced bolt holes on its side to support the outer upper rail, I missed it and had to back track a little in assembly, but other than that, it is pretty straight forward.

The product arrived quickly and the box was pretty dinged up in shipment I noticed, but thankfully the pieces were all well wrapped and in good shape with no defects in the pieces minus a few small scuffs and very small dings that you would only see if you were looking for them (as expected with softer wood anyway). All of the pieces fit together easily, so no issue for me there. It looks like the amazon picture and is a very nice dark stain color. Very attractive in my opinion. It is sturdy once assembled completely and it is held together for the top and bottom by steel dowels, so you can use the beds separately if you desire. I'm glad the wood isn't heavier than it is or it would be a pain to move around.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the product and highly recommend it. My girls are very excited about their new bunk bed and can't wait to sleep in it tonight. -- Great Bunk Bed, easy to assemble and very attractive

I liked the model, the resistance and the wood finish. The only downside is that one piece did not fit in another and we had to break some wood with a knife, since I have no tools of a carpenter. But after that problem, everything was perfect, very fast delivery and my son happy.
